明知違憲情況下,卓榮泰該不該普發一萬元?

Even for folks who've seen it all, this is a whole other level of trolling.

Local TV channels ran a news story last Thursday about a motorcycle accident in Chiayi City. In the report, a woman was seen accompanying the injured motorcyclist.

She was praised by first responders at the scene as "a passionate young lady with a strong sense of justice" after they found out that she and the motorcyclist were strangers. Many people followed suit, taking to social media to praise the woman for her good deed.

Some internet users, however, were less than impressed.

"With her looks, just forget it," one wrote.

Others complained: "I cannot accept her face" and "Look at her sexy stockings."

Some commenters suggested that the woman was trying to con the injured motorcyclist with a "love trap" and surmised that the wounded man must be handsome.

A person claiming to be the woman in the news expressed her disappointment in a post on a popular online forum.

"Now I realize that kindness can make you a target for attack," the poster wrote.

"All I wanted to do was to keep him (the injured man) awake. I don't know why online trolls criticize me like this … I cried hard after reading those comments. … No wonder why more and more people are afraid to step forward to save others."

The poster claimed that she had decided to help because she had previously been seriously injured in a car crash.

The "stockings" that internet commenters saw in the news were in fact compression apparel she was wearing to support recovery from her injuries, the poster said.
